We offer riding lessons for those interested in showing or if you just want to have fun!!
It is also a great source of exercise!

Lesson Program Basics
Every student begins with private lessons. For a beginner, it will probably take about 10 privates before you are ready for the group. Every rider progresses at a different speed. Very young riders will need more privates before riding in a group; it is very rare for riders under the age of 6 to be safe in the group, so very young riders should plan to remain in private lessons.

Even if you have ridden quite a bit before, we like to start with one private so that we can place you in an appropriate group for your level of expertise.

What does it cost?
We give lessons Monday through Saturday. Private lessons are $40. Group lessons are $30. We give lessons after school and into the early evenings. Please arrive ten minutes prior to your scheduled riding time to insure that you are ready to ride. Riders are welcome to stay for a few minutes after they ride if they want to help untack their horse.

What should I wear?
You must wear long pants and closed shoes to your lesson. Shorts, skirts, and capri pants are not acceptable. Sandals or open-toed (or open-heeled) shoes are not safe. Click here for addtional suggestions and apparel page.

Cancellation Policy:
Please cancel your riding lesson at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons not cancelled 24 hours in advance are subject to a $25 cancellation fee, except in cases of bad weather or sudden illness.

Private Lessons - $40
English Saddle Seat and Hunt Seat, Equitation, Driving, Beginner through Advanced.

Lessons for those who just want to enjoy horses or those who may want to show some day.

Group Lessons - $30
Saddle Seat and Hunt Seat. Group size is limited. Again, these lessons are for people of all ages with a variety of riding goals.

Horse Shows -- Varies per show Check with Your instuctor
We take lesson horses to several shows year around. Riders and drivers at Anne Benson Stables are able to show with lesson horses.
